How it works

Up and running in five minutes

There's no bank to connect and no card to order. You keep the money however you already do, and the app keeps an honest record your kids can see.

1

Create your family

A parent signs up with an email and password. You can invite a second parent to help.

2

Add each child

Give each child a simple username and PIN. No email needed. Choose their interest rate, per week or per year.

3

Watch it grow together

Record allowance, gifts and purchases. Interest is added automatically, and your kids see every change right away.

For the whole family

Something for parents and kids

For parents

You're the bank

Keep track of the money you hold for each child, in one calm place.

  • Add or take out money in seconds, with a note like “birthday gift” or “new shoes”
  • Set your own interest rate, paid daily, weekly or monthly
  • Choose a minimum balance, so interest rewards real saving
  • Every entry stays on record, so there are no arguments about who had what
  • Share the family account with another parent
For kids

Their own passbook

Kids sign in on their own device and can look anytime. They can't change anything.

  • See their balance and every deposit, purchase and interest payment
  • Watch interest arrive, and learn that money can grow while they wait
  • See how much they could have in 1, 5 and 10 years if they keep saving
  • A gentle reminder to ask a parent before spending
What kids learn

Small steps today. Strong roots tomorrow.

Interest is one of the hardest money ideas to explain and one of the easiest to see. Here is $100 left to grow at 4.5% a year, paid weekly:

$100Today
$104.60After 1 year
$125.22After 5 years
$156.80After 10 years

Example only. You choose the rate, and the interest comes from you, the parent.

⏳

Patience

Waiting is rewarded, and kids can watch it happen week by week.

🌱

Stewardship

Money is something we're trusted with and care for, not just something we spend.

🎯

Good choices

Seeing the balance before buying turns “can I have it?” into “is it worth it?”

Plain and simple

It's a family record, not a bank

God First, Money Wise doesn't hold, move or invest real money, and it never connects to a bank or card. Parents keep the money however they already do. The app is the honest record of what each child has.

  • No ads and no tracking
  • We only store names, emails, usernames and the amounts you enter
  • Children don't need an email address
  • Delete your whole family account at any time, right from Settings
Questions

Good things to know

Is this a real bank account?

No. It's a record-keeping app. The money stays with you, in a jar, a drawer or your own bank account. The app keeps track of how much belongs to each child and adds the interest you choose.

Who pays the interest?

You do, as the parent. It's a reward for saving. Pick a rate that fits your family. Many parents start between 1% and 10% a year. A weekly rate grows much faster, so 1% a week is about 68% a year.

What age is it for?

Any child who can understand “my money” and “waiting makes it grow,” usually around 5 to 15. Younger kids can look at it with a parent.

Can kids change their own balance?

No. Children can only look. Only a parent can add or take out money or change the interest rate.

Can both parents use it?

Yes. After you create the family, go to Settings and add another parent with their own email and password.

Does it cost anything?

No. God First, Money Wise is free for families.

What do I need to get started?

Just an email address for yourself. Then add each child with a username and PIN, and they can sign in on any phone, tablet or computer.
