The short version

Who we are

God First, Money Wise is a free family savings tracker designed by Ari, age 7, and run by the Bettis family (damndadd.com). In this policy, “we” and “us” means the people who run the app. Questions? Email support@damndadd.com.

What we collect

From parents:

About children, entered by a parent:

Savings records you enter: deposits, withdrawals, notes such as “birthday gift”, dates, interest settings, and the interest the app calculates.

Technical information:

We don't collect locations, contacts, photos, or payment or bank details. The app never moves real money.

How we use it

Only to run the app: to sign you in, show each family its own balances and history, calculate interest, and keep accounts secure. We don't use your information for advertising or marketing, we don't build profiles, and we don't use analytics or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from our own website, so your browser doesn't contact other companies when you use the app.

Who can see it

Children's privacy

God First, Money Wise is made for families, and children use it under a parent's supervision. A parent must create the family account and each child's profile, so a child can't create an account without a parent. We collect only the minimum about a child that the app needs: a name or nickname, a username, a PIN, and the savings records the parent enters. We never ask a child for an email address, phone number or other contact details.

Parents can review, change or delete their child's information at any time: use Remove on the child's page, or Delete family account in Settings. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your family account exists. When you remove a child or delete your family account, the information is deleted from our database right away. Copies may remain in our hosting provider's routine backups for a limited time until they are overwritten.

Keeping it safe

All connections use encryption (https), and passwords and PINs are stored only in hashed form. Each family can only reach its own information, and repeated failed sign-ins are slowed down. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell affected families if we learn of a problem that affects them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let parents know in the app before it takes effect.
